Built on Real Business Experience

We started celydrionaro because we kept seeing the same problem. Business owners knew their craft but struggled with the financial side. Not because they were bad at it—just because nobody ever really explained it properly.

How We Got Started

Back in 2018, our founder was working with small manufacturers around Wollongong. Great products, solid teams, but the books were a mess. Cash flow forecasts? Barely existed. Understanding margins? Hit or miss.

It wasn't laziness. These people worked harder than anyone. They just never had someone sit down and break it down in normal language. So we did exactly that—started teaching practical finance the way you'd explain it to a mate over coffee.

Word spread pretty quickly. What began as informal workshops turned into structured programs. By 2020, we'd helped over 150 businesses get their financial operations sorted.

What Drives Our Work

We're not here to sell you complicated software or mystery consulting packages. Our approach comes down to three things that actually matter.

Plain Language

Finance doesn't need to sound like a lawyer wrote it. We explain concepts the way you'd talk to someone in your workshop or office. If it feels like jargon, we've failed.

Practical First

Theory is fine, but you need tools you can use tomorrow morning. Everything we teach gets tested in real businesses before we add it to our programs.

Honest Limits

We're not miracle workers. Some situations need accountants or specialists. When that's the case, we'll tell you straight up and point you in the right direction.

Seven Years of Learning

We've changed a lot since we started. Here's what happened along the way.

2018

First Workshops

Ran our initial cash flow management sessions in a borrowed meeting room. Eight local business owners showed up. Half of them are still clients today.

2020

Program Structure

Developed our twelve-week operational finance course. Learned a lot about what works in remote delivery when we suddenly had no choice but to figure it out.

2022

Team Growth

Brought on two educators with manufacturing backgrounds. Their practical experience filled gaps we didn't even know we had.

2024

Expanded Focus

Added specialized tracks for service businesses and retail operations. Turns out the fundamentals stay consistent but the application changes quite a bit.

Who You'll Work With

Small team. Everyone teaches. Nobody hides behind fancy titles. We all spent years running or working in actual businesses before this.

Declan Fitzroy, Program Director

Declan Fitzroy

Program Director

Spent fifteen years in manufacturing finance before switching to education. Still consults part-time because it keeps him honest about what actually works.

Lead Educator

Former retail operations manager who discovered she liked teaching finance more than doing it. Handles most of our service business programs now.

How We Actually Teach

Our programs run over several months because quick fixes don't exist in financial management. You learn one concept, apply it to your business, see what happens, then move forward.

Classes stay small on purpose. Around twelve people maximum. That way we can answer your specific questions instead of generic ones. And you usually end up learning as much from the other participants as from us.

Real Numbers

You work with your actual business data, not made-up examples. Sometimes messy, always useful.

Weekly Check-ins

Short group calls where people share what worked and what didn't. Turns out most problems aren't unique to you.

Templates That Work

We give you spreadsheets and frameworks we've used ourselves. Nothing fancy, just functional tools you can adapt.
